Six Steps to Getting Noticed

Follow their socials

This way, you will be updated about current/ future opportunities

1.

Scroll through their site

See if they do work in a field your interested in. You can often find neat projects they're working on

2.

Sign up for their newsletter

It may be annoying receiving tons of email but organization is key. Unsubscribe from mails that aren't of use and subscribe to conservation newsletters instead!

3.

Follow the CEO's or people who work for those organizations. There's a chance you'll see someone's repost to an incredible opportunity       - that's what happened to me!

4.

Apply / Sign up right when you see an opportunity! We often do things last minute or doubt ourselves when we feel like a task is impossible.

"Where there's a will, they're a way" I live by that and it has not let me down.

5.

Don't be afraid to reach out. If there's something that really interests you, don't be afraid to email or call someone about it. The worst they can say is no, but there's always a chance they'll say yes.

6.

Working with a large organization is a dream, though it can be difficult to get your foot in the door when you do not have experience.

There are plenty volunteering opportunities and programs that are rich in valuable knowledge and will help you grow as a conservationist. All you have to do is research!

Below, I have listed plenty of organizations highlighting their programs and volunteer opportunities. If you click on an underlined word, it will lead you to the link for that specific event.

I will also be uploading blogs for each specific organization with more information.

Unfortunately we are still in the process of finding organization with opportunities for you! If you live in these provinces and would like to help us find organizations, do not hesitate to contact me to help out!  ------------------> uwildlifecn@gmail.com
